Block Kits (pre-selected fabric for 15- 12-inch blocks) available at Anything Sews $67.15 (15% OFF) for class participants ($79.00 reg).
Kit fabric is period correct, reproduction/Civil war fabric.
REQUIRED MATERIALS - Instructions and Supplies needed by students:
Please have all material for 15 blocks ironed and ready to cut. (you do not need to bring material for sashing, cornerstones or border).
For our FIRST class please bring:
Underground Railroad Sampler book. Cutting mat, rotary cutter with new blade Rulers close to these sizes – 6”x 12”, 6” x 24”, 6- or 8-inch square Portable iron and ironing mat (OPTIONAL at first class. Very helpful at other classes) Small scissors Pen and pencil Container to hold 12 1⁄2 inch squares flat – pizza box works well If you wish to mark each piece of material that is cut, then make a copy of pages 160-163 for 12” blocks or pages 164-167 for 6” blocks. (OPTIONAL) For all other classes please bring all items above plus Sewing machine and usual supplies neutral thread and invisible or applique thread Marking pen and specialty rulers – We will discuss them at first class.
