Quilt 101(2)- 3 part class



In three 9-3 sessions, Cinda will have you feeling very comfortable sewing a quilt top. Make blocks using a variety of techniques such as: straight piecing, half-square triangles and flying geese.  Also, learn how to get a scant 1/4 inch seam.  Learn to quilt the table runner (using straight-line machine quilting) and make a binding.  You will finish with a completed table runner plus another one to finish at home!   You can choose your fabric (with the help of the color experts at Anything Sews) and receive 15% discount!

Material needed:
FABRIC A: a print - 3/4 yard
FABRIC B: reads as a solid - 3/4 yard
FABRIC C: Coordinating for sashing, backing and binding - 1 1/2 yards
Thread to match or a neutral shade;

(Please put your name on all of your supplies. You can use address labels or permanent markers to identify your items).

Bring your own sewing machine in good working order with sewing machine manual and with 1/4" foot and walking foot for 2nd class. Also bring attachments, rotary cutter, mat, small scissors, seam ripper, marking pen/pencil, thread, bobbin(s), storage container for your materials and completed blocks.

Cutting rulers:  preferably 4x12; and/or 6x24 plus 12.5" square.  Rulers close to this size are acceptable.  (If you don't have any rulers we can share).

Straight pins (preferably long); Wonder clips; Large safety pins (approx. 20) for second class;

Chalk or marking pen;
Gallon zip-loc type bag - (bring 2)

Small iron and ironing pad- (optional)

Bring a sack lunch or we can order take-out from a local restaurant.
