- Basic sewing supplies: Scissors, seam ripper, pins/mini clips, pen/pencil, extra sewing machine needles, hand sewing needles, small snip scissors.
- Sewing Machine (will only be using a straight stitch .... Featherweights are fine)
- Log Cabin Trim Tool Ruler by Creative Grids (CGRJAW1)
- Rulers - at least a 4” x 12” or bigger. 6 x 18 or 6 x 24 is best
- Fabric Scraps - the more variety the better. A minimum of 6 light and 6 dark is preferred.
- You will also need to decide on the center of the cabin. Traditionally it is black or red,but any consistent color is okay. This will be cut into 2 1/2” squares
- It is hard to tell you yardage because of number of fabrics and size of quilt. Strips will be cut 1 3/4” wide, but can be any length. You may cut a few of these ahead of time.

Bring your own sewing machine in good working order with cord & foot pedal. Featherweight friendly class. Basic sewing notions such as: Scissors, small snips, seam ripper, extra bobbins, pins/clips, extra sewing machine needles, pen/pencil, rulers specified in description, small cutting mat for personal use while sewing, (optional) mini personal iron and pressing surface.
